Artist- Hahnah Rae Gibson
Hello! I’m an Ink and Watercolor artist based in Tacoma, WA. I’m a proud mom of four who decided to turn my favorite hobbies into something more. Creating has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up expressing myself through art and music and was lucky enough to be selected as a member of the inaugural class of the local Art High School. I had the opportunity to try and learn many mediums that I never would have otherwise. It wasn’t until after high school, however, that I found my way to Ink & Watercolor and it seems to have stuck! I love creating art that inspires Joy, Nostalgia, and the feeling of Home. I began making home portraits of places that were special to me and was happy when people began to request that I capture home for them as well. As a life long Tacoman, I have been thrilled to be able to share what makes me feel at home with a wider audience through my Grit City, Tacoma series. I also love touching on the joy many of us share through fandoms, fables, plants, and more. I make art that makes me happy and that happiness grows when I get to see someone else connect to it.
In addition to my original art, I love to give used items and vintage items second life. I offer repurposed, refurbished and vintage housewares. You’ll find a wide range of houseplants in vintage planters, my favorite being those that are kitschy and whimsical. Everything is handmade or secondhand!

Orignial & Prints
All items listed as “Original” without the inclusion of the word “print” are my original Ink & Watercolor artworks. Many originals listed are one of a kind and will not be sold as prints.
I Make all of my own prints with high quality cotton paper and archival quality pigment based inks meant to last a lifetime.
All available framing is vintage or repurposed with the exception of any mat boards, foam or cardboard backing. Those elements have been replaced or buffered with acid free materials to ensure the longevity of the original artwork or print.
Vintage and Second Hand
Everything that I don’t make myself is Vintage, Secondhand, or Repurposed. I have a commitment to less waste and renewed value in old and interesting things. I love to find items that inspire nostalgia and other unique items that can add that spark of whimsy to any space. Due to the secondhand nature of all items, some have minor damage such as chips or cracks. Any significant damage will be noted in the listing. All secondhand is sold as-is.
Houseplants & Planters
All available houseplants are sold in curated vintage and repurposed containers. Some are planted directly into the container, such as terrariums, and others are planted into a nursery pot placed within the container so they can be watered with proper drainage. All plants are potted with fresh, high quality potting medium best suited for the individual plant. All terrariums are planted with a layered system of rocks, moss, charcoal and other medium to make sure the ecosystem is well balanced. I make my own soil mixes that help promote the best root growth and drainage possible.

Do to the repurposed , vintage and unique nature of the planting containers, most are offered without bottom drainage. Always water sparingly and with caution when a plant does not have bottom drainage. Remove the nursery pot when watering until drained and then replace it into it container.
Though I do my best to offer only healthy and pest free plants, all plants are sold as-is without a return option. I am happy to answer questions or offer advice when purchasing or after to help insure a long lasting plant.
